Welcome to nakedize.com
We're in the communications and 'information optimization' business but, unlike most people who charge for words, our philosophy is that producing fewer words allows for more consideration, by both writer and reader.
It seems to us that human life isn't a sprint race or a marathon; it is (hopefully) an endless relay.
So our goal is to help everyone to slow down a little so that we all have more time for some really important activities: to understand and reflect on our true 'position'; to look after and appreciate all that we have; and to really enjoy our few moments with the baton.

Simon and Jeroen join the blogosphere
Simon and Jeroen have both launched blogs. Jeroen's blog (jeroentenberge.com) is the new home of his portfolio, so it already contains dozens of eye-catching postings showcasing his branding, design, and illustration work. Simon's blog (blog.hertnon.com is called Measured Words and only has a few postings to date, but there are many more to watch out for if you are interested in words, writing, infoglut, books, films, current events, universal human needs, or sustainability.
Simon's latest book hits the US
A US version of Simon's book, From Afterwit to Zemblanity, has hit the shelves. The new North American edition, titled Endangered Words: A Collection of Rare Gems for Word Lovers, contains the same gallery of fine words that readers across the Commonwealth have enjoyed.
In keeping with Simon's less-is-more philosophy, the books feature just 100 English gems that you can get to know properly before moving on to the next word.
And what constitutes a gem? Here are just a couple to whet your appetite.
conncinity n. 'skilful and
harmonious adaptation or
fitting together of parts' (OED)
sprezzatura n. 'studied non-
chalance: perfect conduct or
performance without apparent
effort' (Merriam-Webster)

'Compelling' fundraising for high schools
Fundraising is a necessity for most New Zealand schools and we hope to create a win-win-win opportunity for students, their parents, and schools by promoting Clear, Concise, Compelling as a fundraising product.
Just as many schools and organisations raise funds by selling The Entertainment Book, we have made CCC available to fundraisers for $20 less than the retail price. This enables them to offer the book to students at a significant discount while also being able to raise $10 or more per book for their school.
We are only targetting high schools at this stage, but if you are a fundraiser for another kind of organisation and you think 'Compelling' fundraising would work for you then please let us know.
Tackling poor written communication skills

In the media: In 2007, Simon was interviewed about Clear, Concise, Compelling by radio stations from across New Zealand, including National Radio. If you have a broadband connection and would like to hear an interview with Simon, below is a link for his interview on Tuesday 20 February with Al & Breffni on 93 MoreFM Nelson.
